“In the sixties, when they were young, it was easy to express your dissatisfaction.  You could go out into the streets and demonstrate.  Today if you do something like that, express your discontent in public, you’ll get arrested much more quickly.  Back then, we threw stones when we were angry.  When I meet kids today, I tell them they should throw stones while they’re young, because they won’t do it when they grow up.  But nobody does that sort of thing anymore.  Maybe today’s kids are more conservative in the sense that they think more about their individual futures.  They figure that if they want a good job later, it’s better to not get in trouble today.”
